WHEEL LIFE STORIES PRESENTS
PEOPLE of the WHEEL WORLD
What is Osteogenesis? In what ways has it affected your life?
Osteogenesis Imperfecta is a brittle bone disorder. I have type 3 and in my case I’m unable to walk and I am short stature. As far as affecting my life, I feel like it’s honestly taught me how to be less judgmental. When you have a condition where you’re always being looked at, you tend to want to get to know people for them and less on who you perceive them to be. I feel having OI, has made me a better person.
When did you decide to film your fitness journey? Were you nervous about injuring yourself?
When, I saw there weren’t a lot of others out there who looked like me that were working out. I wanted to be able to start sharing my videos online of me working out, I wouldn’t have imagined that others would follow my fitness journey like they have. The one thing about me is, I’ve learned my limits for my body, so I don’t overdue it when I work out.
What’s your favorite exercise routine? Do you have any tips for beginners?
So I love doing Shaun T’s Insanity Max 30. I would say for anyone that’s starting out with any type of workout, is pace yourself and listen to your body.
Besides working out, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy making beats, which I do under the name Mini Producer (@miniproducer) and I’ve been doing that for about 8 years now. I also love hanging out with my friends and getting something to eat.
Where do you find inspiration? What motivates you to keep going?
I find inspiration in other people and their journeys. If pushes me more to be better and do more. What motivates me specifically is the unknown or more so the possibilities of what I can do. I like to ask myself “what’s next?” to keep me motivated.
What are your plans and goals for the future?
My plans and goals for the future are just to enjoy life in whatever I do. Making sure that my impact is positive and that I’m still going after my passions.
